Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has reportedly informed officials at the club that he needs a new defender this summer. The 47 year old coach is said to be interested in signing at least three players this summer.
According to reports in Spain, French international Jules Kounde has turned down a £60 million offer from Tottenham. It is believed that he prefers to play for Chelsea next season.Reports have now suggested that Thomas Tuchel is closing in on agreeing a deal to sign the young central defender this summer. He has also been linked with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Man United this month.
Jules Kounde is regarded as one of the most talented young defenders in world football. He has been compared to former Man United captain Rio Ferdinand. This is largely because of his energetic style of play.
