Kante sustained a hamstring injury while representing France in their world cup qualifiers and was send back to the Cobham training facility for the club doctors to establish the severity of his injury.
The London based side host relegation battlers West Bromwich Albion on Saturday in an early kick off match and the former Paris Saint Germain will be without Kante for the clash with the Sam Allardyce side.
