WEDNESDAY 7PM Official done deals, Chelsea €20m deal, Harry Kane and more

Welcome to Wednesday done deals and transfer updates for Chelsea, Arsenal and other clubs as the summer transfer window is drawing to a start.

Harry Kane urged to seal Manchester United transfer as he “deserves to win trophies”

Harry Kane has been urged to seal a transfer to Manchester United as former Red Devils midfielder Luke Chadwick believes he’d turn them into genuine Premier League title contenders.
It’s been another frustrating season for Tottenham as they’ve once again failed to really challenge for trophies, despite initially showing some real promise earlier in the season.

Chadwick now thinks Kane looks unlikely to win silverware with Spurs any time soon and admits he’d love to see the “world class” England international at Old Trafford.

“If United had any chance of signing Harry Kane then, similarly to Haaland, I don’t think there’s any two strikers you’d want more.

Chelsea Told To Shell Out Up To €20 Million To Sign Gabriel Menino

Chelsea have been asked to fork out upto €20 million for the services of Palmeiras central midfielder Gabriel Menino, who is also courted by Atletico Madrid.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Palmeiras are ready to offload one of their key players in Gabriel Menino in the upcoming summer transfer window. The midfielder has already attracted the interest of European giants like Chelsea and Atletico Madrid following his performances in his native Brazil.

Menino does have an exorbitant release clause embedded in his Palmeiras worth €60 million. However, the club is willing to part ways with the midfielder for a fee in the region of €15 million to €20 million, perhaps in light of the pandemic that has taken a massive toll on footballing clubs across the world.

Arsenal plotting move for Barcelona’s Philippe Coutinho if they fail to hold on to Real Madrid’s Martin Odegaard

Arsenal is plotting to move for Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho if they are unable to hold on to Martin Odegaard beyond the end of the campaign.

The Norway international moved to Arsenal from Real Madrid in January temporarily until the end of 2020-21, and it is unclear what the future holds for him.

The Brazilian was linked with Arsenal last summer, with Barca reportedly offering him to the north London giants.

Arsenal would strike gold should the Liverpool version of Coutinho show up at the Emirates if a move works out.

The great-grandson of Italian fascist dictator Benito Mussolini has signed his first professional contract with Serie A team Lazio.
Romano Floriani Mussolini, 18, was called up to the Roman club’s Under-19 team in February and has featured in four of their last five matches, earning a three-year deal.

Done deal: Alex Cairns signs new Fleetwood Town contract

Fleetwood Town goalkeeper Alex Cairns has signed a new contract at the club, keeping him at Highbury until 2023.

There were concerns for the stopper last season as he fell out of favour and lost his no.1 squad number going into this season.
