World-class striker to join Tuchel at Chelsea on a 4-year mega deal

Chelsea Football Club is considering their transfer options as the Blues are keen to bring in more quality players to massively improve the quality of the squad under Thomas Tuchel in the summer transfer window. The 19-year-old – who will be part of Chelsea’s first team during the club’s pre-season from today – is set to sign until June 2026.

SunSport revealed back in May that Thomas Tuchel’s side was poised to open contracts with Broja after his standout stint on loan last season.

The forward followed in Mason Mount’s footsteps in spending a term at Vitesse in the Eredivisie – where he netted 11 goals in 34 games.

The striker was among the first of the Blues to report back to training today alongside Callum Hudson-Odoi and Tino Anjorin.

The Albania international was sent on loan to Vitesse for the 2020-21 campaign and enjoyed an impressive spell in the Netherlands, scoring 11 times in 34 appearances.

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea is finalising the final details on a new contract until June 2026, with the teenager due to be a part of the first-team squad this season.Borja spent time with Tottenham Hotspur during his youth career but has been with his current side since 2009, progressing through the various age groups to the first team.

The youngster has scored 16 times in 35 appearances for Chelsea Under-18s, while he has netted three times in 13 outings for the London club’s Under-23s.

Borja turned out in 30 league outings for Vitesse and besides his ten goals, he registered two assists as well as the Blues benefited from the younger gathering regular minutes on the football pitch away from his parent club.Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland remains the top priority for the Chelsea boss in this summer’s transfer window despite Dortmund sticking to what is a hefty transfer fee for the Norweigian.

Romelu Lukaku, another name on Tuchel’s shopping list for the summer, has asserted time and again his desire to stay put at San Siro with the Serie A holders Inter Milan.
