Real Madrid getting ready to sell key starter to Manchester United

Real Madrid are headed for an eventful summer transfer window this year with their eyes fully on Galacticos Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland. But they may also have to do some maneuvering in midfielder and defense, especially if two vital starters end up leaving this summer.

According to a report from the Manchester Evening News’ Samuel Luckhurst, Real Madrid are “pessimistic” about their ability to sign Raphael Varane to a new deal, and they are “prepared” to cut a deal with Manchester United, who have consistently been linked to the French star.

Per Luckhurst, Varane thinks Real aren’t offering him enough money in comparison to what his teammates are making, and I wonder if he’s comparing the offer on the table from Real to him to what Ramos could be making.

We’ll see how this story develops as we get closer to the summer transfer window, but Madridistas must face the very real prospect of losing Varane. Whether or not his ultimate destination is United, that also remains to be seen.

Arsenal linked with free-transfer of coveted striker

Arsenal are claimed to be amongst the potential suitors for Wigan striker Kyle Joseph this summer.

The 19 year-old is out of contract in the coming window, and is attracting interest in his signature with an impressive campaign.

Joseph only made his first-team debut back in October 2020, but has already established himself as a first-team regular with a string of performances.

The Wigan striker now has five goals and assist to his name from 14 League One outings, sitting as joint-top goal scorer and joint-top goal contributor for his team, albeit having played less minutes that Will Keane who holds the same record of goals and assists.

World-class free transfer target tops Chelsea list as demands of €201,000-week contract leaves door open for the Blues

According to Dean Jones for Eurosport, Chelsea are still keen on Gianluigi Donnarumma as the world-class goalkeeper has been held up from signing a new contract so far.

The 22-year-old’s deal expires this summer, with no concrete movement on new terms as Eurosport report that there have been some hold ups over the terms of an agreement, leaving the exit door open.

It’s added that the hectic fixture schedule has also made it ‘tricky’ for the Rossoneri to negotiate the future of one of their most prized players, as Milan contend in Serie A and the Europa League.

Eurosport report that Chelsea are ‘contemplating’ whether or not they should sign another goalkeeper this summer, with an option like Donnarumma someone that they’d jump at if he hits the free market.

They do reiterate that a defender and striker will be the priorities for Chelsea in the next transfer window.
